About CMA
The Community Media Association's mission is "to enable people to establish and develop community based communications media for community development and empowerment, cultural expression, information and entertainment."
The CMA is a non-profit membership association for community radio, television and Internet projects.
The CMA:
publishes a quarterly review, Airflash,
holds regular conferences and events,
provides information and advice,
organises training and research
and represents community media to Government, regulatory and other industry bodies
The Community Media Association (formerly the Community Radio Association) was founded in 1983 to support a third sector of community media services alongside commercial media and the BBC.
