Each year Tools for Self Reliance (TFSR) receives hundreds of requests for tools from community groups in countries where good quality tools are scarce and expensive.
Each year Tools for Self Reliance (TFSR) receives hundreds of requests for tools from community groups in countries where good quality tools are scarce and expensive. TFSR respond in a direct, practical way by refurbishing hand tools and sewing machines, and sending them to partners in Africa.
Here in Didsbury our volunteers help to make a reality of the simple idea - that tools have a significant impact on poverty and unemployment in Africa. Tools mean work and the chance to shape the future - things which are just as important to young people in Ghana or Mozambique as in Britain.
